Financial Literacy for Students: Why We Start on Campus
October 1, 2026
Most young Kenyans receive their first meaningful income — HELB loans, side hustles, attachments — while on campus. It is also where many form money habits that follow them for decades.
Through Vibe Ya Campo empowerment sessions, we teach practical financial literacy: budgeting a student budget, saving before spending, the basics of investing, and avoiding debt traps and betting culture.
Delivered in a festival setting, the lessons land differently — students engage, ask questions and share experiences instead of sitting through a lecture.
